Just before Christmas, a new digital recording was released by the label Warner Music and radio Klara. This live concert recording was made on October 26th in the Concertgebouw Brugge, by the Klara-crew. Nicolas Callot, Bart Rodyns and I made a special program around Clara Schumann and called it "Clara's heart". Via this link you can find all the tracks. I wish you a pleasant listening!
Next week I'll sing the jubilant "Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen", one of Bach's solocantatas for soprano. I can't think of a better way to finish this season with my friends of the ensemble BachPlus.
As I announced in January: in September I will record another beautiful solocantata of maestro Bach: BWV199 "Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut". After composing the piece in 1713, Bach made many versions of this emotionally intense "Cantata a Voce Sola". Together with the wonderful musicians of Il Gardellino and the one and only Marcel Ponseele on the oboe we will give voice to the transformation from supreme sinfulness via penance to redemption. Also on the cd will be a small psalm/cantata by Telemann for soprano, oboe, violin and BC and one of Buxtehude's most beautiful pieces for soprano. Happy New Year to you all! I wish you a lovely 2019 with some musical adventures and discoveries to be cherished.
After a heartwarming Christmas season with the Dutch Bach Society and Marcus Creed, I am now planning a Baroque solo-cd to be recorded this year. I am very excited to record BWV199 with Marcel Ponseele on the solo oboe. You'll read about it here when all the other details will be decided.
2018 September, 20th
Before the summer another wonderful recording was released: the Duarte cycle (label: Musica Ficta). In the summer of 2017 we recorded this cd in Amuz with Transports Publics, singing and playing music by Leonora Duarte, her friends and contemporaries.

2018 April, 1st
The day before Easter, Jos van Veldhoven conducted his last Matthäuspassion with the Nederlandse Bachvereniging as artistic leader of the NBV. It has been a great honour and pleasure to sing the whole tour of 14 Matthäus-concerts and in particular this last concert with him. He is such a warm hearted and truly inspiring person who nourished my love for Bach's music. I wish him some well deserved rest but also many more great concerts to come and secretly I hope our paths will cross to perform some beautiful music together.
